Hackerspace/Modder Clubhouses Pop Up Nationwide

A hackerspace is a physical, real world meeting place for electronics enthusiasts who want to work on their own DIY projects.

This is a brilliant idea. A) You’ll learn a lot by being around people who are better at modding than you, B) Computer users need to get out of the house anyway, and C) It’ll make it so much easier for the FBI!

You can find your local hackerspace by visiting hackerspaces.org/wiki/ – if you’re a beginner or an expert, go find your local space and hang out – an idea this cool needs to be taken advantage of.

Your title should say worldwide, not nationwide- As a founding member of the 6 month old Tokyo Hacker Space I can tell you these spaces and people are awesome, I have learned basic soldering, have helped on a couple of group projects and am eager to work on tons of my own projects too!

in a place like tokyo where space is limited having a shared workspace, tools and cool people to learn from is almost a miracle.
