Half Of Respondents In Study Report iPhone Addiction
A Stanford study has finally given of evidence of what we’ve always known deep down – people are seriously addicted to their iPhones.
The Stanford study involved 200 students, who were asked to rate their opinion of their iPhone usage on a scale from one to five, one being “not addicted” and five being “fully addicted.” 54% reported a four or higher.
That’s insane. To parse the data a little more, 10% of the respondents reported they were “fully addicted” – only 6% reported “no addiction.” 34% gave themselves a four.
41% of them also reported that losing their iPhones would be “a tragedy,” which only makes me want to slap those things the hell out of people’s hands.
Finally, 75% of respondents slept next to their iPhones – no word yet if they’ve knitted little pajamas for the damn things.
