HP Pavilion dm1z: New 11.6-inch laptop from HP
We have seen all sorts of interesting laptops on the from all sorts of over the years. Laptops have a huge part of the market so it’s no wonder that we’re seeing new laptops with each day. This time we got a new laptop that comes from HP, so let’s see what does HP has to offer us this time.
Latest laptop from HP is called HP Pavilion dm1z and it is available in States. Interesting thing about HP Pavilion dm1z is that it comes with AMD processor. Although Intel’s processors are highly popular and on the market, this model is using AMD processors. Pavilion dm1z is available with following processors: AMD Athlon II Neo K125 that runs at 1.7 GHz, AMD Athlon II Neo Dual-Core K325 that works on 1.3 GHz and AMD Turion II Neo Dual-Core K625 processor running at 1.5 GHz.
Although this laptop isn’t using popular processor such as Intel Atom, it will still be able to deal with all that you might use. This model is using 11.6-inch display that 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution. As for the graphics, HP Pavilion dm1z is using ATI Radeon 4225 graphics and it comes with 2 GB DDR3 RAM. If you find 2 GB too low for your needs you can easily upgrade it up to 5 GB DDR3 RAM. Storage space of this model is satisfying and this laptop comes with 500 GB hard drive. In addition, optional 128 GB SSD drive is available as well. Only flaw of this model could be that it is not using optical drive, so you’ll have to purchase external DVD burner. In addition, HP Pavilion dm1z comes with 802.11n Wi-Fi, optional Bluetooth, card reader, webcam, USB 2.0, VGA and HDMI output. Thanks to the 6-cell battery, this model is able to provide you seven working hours.
As for the system, you can between Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit or Windows 7 Professional. Depending on your specifications and operating system HP Pavilion dm1z costs $449.99 or more.
