Looking for a great browser for your Android phone? Dolphin Browser HD adds a ton of improvements over the default Android browser, which you can see in the video above. It only works on Android 2.0 or higher, but with Google rolling out software upgrades to many Android-based phones, that shouldn’t be a problem for most users.

Set Condition One throughout the ship, because there’s a Battlestar Galactica MMO on dradis, weapons hot!

Well, that’s enough references only nerds will get. For the rest of you, the hit SyFy channel series Battlestar Galactica is about to see some new life, in the form of a web based MMO.

Details on the game are a little scarce, but here’s what we do know, based on an announcement at the 2010 Game Developers Conference:

Release date: August or September
No word on the exact chronology of the game, but they say they’re picking a moment in the series that’s “familiar to fans” – my guess is right before the Pegasus shows up
It will be free, though costumes, weapons and access to new levels will cost $$$
There will be both “space combat” and “exploration”

And that’s all we know for now – it’s maddeningly little, we know, but you’ll know more when we know more. So say we all!

Firefox’s Mobile Browser “Fennec” For Android

Hey, I’m using Firefox right now. I like Firefox. I think Firefox is pretty great. So it only stands to reason that I’ll also be into “Fennec,” which is Firefox’s mobile version of its veritable, hard charging browser.

Better news? It was recently spotted running on Android, my current favorite mobile operating system. This wasn’t always going to be the case – for a while, it looked like Mozilla wouldn’t put Fennec on Android because Google was going to force the program to run on the Dalvik virtual platform instead of natively on Android, a sentence which is gobbeldygook to me but will likely make sense to you, the reading public. Google relented, allowing Fennec to run natively.

At the time, Mozilla was only working on Fennec for Nokia & Windows Mobile.

Looking forward to Fennec on your iPhone? Well don’t! Mozilla’s not bothering, as they believe it’d be blocked by Apple, who would probably block it faster than a photo of a girl in a bikini. God knows they’re protective and fickle about what can or can’t run on their precious iPhone.
